Dark Orange Brownies with Sea Salt Flakes




  1. Turn on and preheat the oven to 350°C.
  2. In a stand mixer, throw in your butter and mix it on high to cream the butter
  3. Still on high add in sugar and brown sugar for 5 mins before adding in olive oil at medium speed.
  4. Mix until fluffy.
  5. Add eggs one at a time while scraping the sides of your bowl down.
  6. In a separate bowl, mix the orange zest, cocoa powder, all-purpose flour, and salt.
  7. Stir the flour mix into the mixing bowl while scraping the sides of your bowl down.
  8. Turn of your stand mixer and fold in the chopped chocolate.
  9. Pour the batter into 10 x 10 pan, level it and sprinkle sea salt on top.
  10. Bake for 28 - 35 min or until cooked through or when pierced with toothpick moist crumbs sticks to it.. Brownies will set when cooled.
  11. Optional: If you want top it with the squares of chocolate and quartered dried blood orange, place it on top of the batter for the last few mins of the baking time.
  12. Let cool and cut into squares to serve.
